Who said flowers and coffee don't belong in the same store? In Honolulu, Paiko is home to Brue Cafe and Flower Boutique. Paiko offers hands-on workshops, locally sourced flora, hand crafted plant vessels and gifts. The fresh interior matches the company's brand which is both tropical and urban. Even the graphics and website follow though on their concept. The interior design was done by Nikole Nelson, of BLKCORAL. Paiko’s blog has a great article on Nikole’s process for remodeling Paiko. Ben Young uses laminated glass to build his unique sculptures featuring many ocean and water themes. Raised in Waihi Beach, New Zealand now residing in Sydney, Australia, Ben Young is a self-taught artist who has been making glass sculpture for over 10 years.
Learn more about this artist on his website Broken Liquid. Jardin De Ville is an outdoor furniture company based in Quebec, they recently hired Manutti to design their new Air collection. With slick modern detailing pared with durable but casual looking fabric. The solid base is powder-coated stainless steel and a thin mid-section of exotic Iroko wood slats help air circulation. The thick large cushions resemble the luxury of the modern Italian design in Moroso sofa.
