Cliff Residence

Project Description

It took extensive work to gut and rebuild this cliffside residence on the Wailuku River.  This project is walking distance from historic downtown Hilo with its bayfront shops, farmers market and beach.  After a day out hiking the owners wanted to be able to unwind in their quiet interior.  Thoughtful design and materials followed the desire for low maintenance and longevity without compromising on beauty.  Sustainability principles were included as much as possible.  A local woodworker built all the millwork, interior doors, and several furniture items.
