Last September Kenneth Cobonpue curated an Exhibit for Breast Cancer Awareness and auctioned off several of his own pieces like this one, Coral Fan. The proceeds were donated to the Philippine Foundation for Breast Care, which will be used to increase the patient load of the government-run East Avenue Medical Center's Breast Care Center. There is a desperate need as 1 in 13 Filipinos falls victim to Breast Cancer. This makes it the highest rate in Southeast Asia. |
